Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing backend applications using PHP (Laravel/Symfony) and Node.js.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and follow best practices in version control (Git).
  • Work with MySQL and MongoDB for data modelling, queries, and basic optimisations.
  • Support API development and integration with internal and third-party services.
  • Help maintain and improve existing features, fix bugs, and contribute to new functionality.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers in code reviews, QA processes, and deployment cycles.
  • Contribute to frontend tasks using React or Angular (basic to intermediate level).
  • Assist in DevOps activities such as working with Docker, CI/CD environments, and AWS-managed services.
  • Learn and adopt engineering standards, architecture patterns, and documentation practices.
  • Provide product support by troubleshooting and resolving software issues reported by users.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers to ensure timely resolution of support tickets.
  • Document and share solutions, create support knowledge base articles, and participate in support escalations.
  • Monitor system performance, assist in root cause analysis of production issues, and collaborate on preventive measures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 years of professional experience OR relevant internships/projects.
  • Basic knowledge of PHP (Laravel/Symfony or similar) and Node.js.
  • Understanding of databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with building RESTful APIs.
  • Basic exposure to React or Angular.
  • Fundamental understanding of Git and version control workflows.
  • Eager to learn cloud concepts (AWS) and containerization (Docker).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn from mentors.
  • Good communication and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Aptitude for providing technical support and handling customer queries.

Good to Have

  • Academic or personal projects using PHP, Node.js, or modern JS frameworks.
  • Exposure to AWS services (Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • Understanding of basic DevOps or microservices concepts.
  • Interest in eCommerce, order management, or inventory systems.
