Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient, secure, and reliable code delivery for OMS and eCommerce applications.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor and optimise system performance, identifying opportunities to improve uptime, response times, and resource utilisation.
• Enhance observability and incident response by implementing and tuning logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog).
• Collaborate with Development, QA, and Operations teams to streamline workflows and reduce manual intervention.
• Ensure high availability and scalability of production systems through effective use of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Maintain and enhance security posture, applying DevSecOps principles and managing access controls, secrets, and vulnerability scanning.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in deployment strategy, infrastructure management, and environment automation.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring systems are resilient and recoverable.
• Contribute to cost optimisation initiatives, monitoring resource usage and identifying opportunities to reduce spend.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting DevOps best practices and a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Experience Requirement

Must-have:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Proven expertise in cloud environments (preferably AWS or Azure).
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
• Solid understanding of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience supporting eCommerce platforms and Order Management Systems (OMS) or large-scale transactional systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
• Knowledge of networking, load balancing, and security principles in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Competence in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience integrating DevSecOps practices into CI/CD workflows.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to have:

• Exposure to Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or similar enterprise commerce platforms.
• Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and event-driven architectures.
• Background in OMS, ERP, or logistics integrations.
• Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost governance.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
