Role Responsibilities

• Sustain and enhance the existing PHP-based OMS platform, ensuring stability, reliability, and performance.
• Identify and implement improvements to system architecture, data workflows, and integrations with eCommerce, ERP, and fulfilment platforms.
• Drive innovation by proposing new technologies, automation, and optimisation opportunities that improve efficiency and accuracy across the order lifecycle.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues in real time, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Mentor and support other developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Contribute to long-term technical strategy, including modernisation of legacy code and adoption of best-practice development methodologies (CI/CD, containerisation, testing frameworks, etc.).

Experience Requirement

Must-have:

• 5+ years of professional PHP development experience (Laravel, Symfony, or similar frameworks).
• Strong understanding of eCommerce operations, order management, inventory, and fulfilment workflows.
• Proven ability to optimise and refactor complex legacy systems.
• Experience integrating with APIs and third-party systems (ERP, CRM, payment, or logistics).
• Solid understanding of MySQL and database design best practices.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps tools and practices (Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated testing).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills — able to think both tactically and strategically.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to have:

• Experience with headless commerce architectures or microservices.
• Exposure to Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or similar enterprise commerce platforms.
• Understanding of message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) or event-driven systems.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
